Fleeing From Fleas
Healthy Child

Fleas are annoying pests that are on every dog owner’s mind, but the pesticides used to treat fleas also pose a danger to your pet's and family's health.
The Center for Environmental Oncology of UPCI has created a bookmark that outlines easy alternatives. The natural treatments and solutions they include are effective and non-toxic. Please download the bookmark and share it with other pet owners and even your vet.
You can also visit Green Paws, a program of the Natural Resources Defense Council. Their site has detailed information about the risks of pesticides used on pets, a wallet-guide, fact sheets, product guides, and a tool kit to take action at your local pet store or veterinary clinic.
Do you have any natural flea treatment tips or resources to share?

I have never experienced flees in my life until I rented a vacation home in San Diego last year for 3 months and my poor little doggies become infested with fllees. I was warned, but I could not grasp the concept of purchasing a chemical that you apply to their spine that helps prevent them. So, I bathed them everyday, but it was not enough. It was so disgusting, the way the flees attacted their blood. It made me realize that sometimes people give in because of the effect, they want to relieve the problem. Eventually we got rid of them, but I wish I would have know about your website.
