Mount Sinai Medical Center lead a seminar on toxic toys urging parents and others to be smart when buying toys. With dozens of toy recalls this year alone, toxins in toys have become a hot topic, ABC News reports.
Toxins like lead have been linked to various childhood diseases and developmental disabilities. For details on specific toys, parents can turn to groups like HealthyToys.org who has reviewed and tested hundreds of toys and posted information on them on their website.
