Risa Goldberg

Risa Goldberg is co-founder of the innovative parenting group Big City Moms along with her sister Leslie. Since 2004, Big City Moms produces events for all stages of motherhood and works with companies to get products in the hands of mothers and moms-to-be. The company is the country’s largest of its kind with a network of over 75,000 moms and dads. Big City Moms has received numerous accolades and recognition for its unique contribution to the parenting world including “Best Place To Meet Other Parents” from Time Out Kids NY. News organizations such as Good Morning America, CBS News, WB, Fox 5 and the Today show turn to Goldberg and her sister for their expertise in all things family.

Businesses large and small use Big City Moms to help launch and promote their businesses.

Prior to co-founding Big City Moms, Goldberg was a pioneer in online marketing research, creating organizational structures for multiple corporations including MTV, Microsoft, ESPN.com and 24/7 Media. She was a regular speaker at industry conferences across the country and led initiatives to make measurement standards across all web sites.

Risa is a graduate of the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University and lives on Long Island with her husband and 3 children.

Leslie Venokur

Leslie Venokur is co-founder of the innovative parenting group Big City Moms along with her sister Risa. Prior to co-founding Big City Moms, Leslie’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident in the creation of her successful on-line childrens accessories business Pretty Please NYC.

For nearly a decade Venokur was the Senior Director of Retail at Kidville, where she was responsible for the buying and merchandising of their corporate locations as well as designing and training franchise locations.
Venokur also held positions with Calvin Klein Kids, Scoop and Bergdorf Goodman.

Leslie graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Retail and Merchandising. She lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
