The toxins in our environment are much more dangerous for babies and children than for adults. Because they’re still growing, kids are at the greatest risk of developing diseases and illnesses caused by exposure to toxins such as bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, lead and other chemicals.

Klean Kanteen created the first stainless steel bottle designed for personal use, worried by early studies linking plastic use to a long list of illnesses. Klean Kanteen wanted to give people a safe, healthy alternative. They  hope to help more parents create healthier, safer environments for their children.
 
Thousands of products for babies and toddlers are made with types of plastic that have been shown to leach BPA into food and drinks. Numerous scientific studies indicate that BPA has the potential to act as an endocrine-disrupter when ingested, and that children are the most susceptible. BPA exposure has been linked to dysfunctions in children’s brain, behavior, and prostate gland of fetuses, infants and children at current human exposure levels.
