Reprint Permissions

March 2015 — Healthy Child Healthy World is now a program powered by the Environmental Working Group (EWG). As such, permission to reproduce materials found on www.healthychild.org web properties is now subject to EWG’s reprint permission policy governing such materials.

REPRINT PERMISSION INFORMATION

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) welcomes requests to reprint Healthy Child Healthy World (HCHW) materials, including, but not limited to, articles, reports, blog entries, press releases, images and photos. To request reprint permission, please email a completed request form to [email protected], fax it to 202-232-2592, or return it by regular mail to the EWG Headquarters address below. Should EWG grant your request, you agree to the terms and conditions below. EWG reviews requests on a case-by-case basis and reserves the right to deny permission for any reason.

Terms and Conditions for Reprinting Healthy Child Healthy World Materials

Agreement. Permission to reprint HCHW materials shall be subject to the terms and conditions set forth below. EWG reserves the right to modify this agreement at any time without advance notice. (Note that use of EWG’s web properties, including www.healthychild.org, is also subject to the following user agreement.)

Permission. All content appearing on HCHW web properties, including, but not limited to, articles, reports, blog entries, press releases, images and photos, is the property of EWG or HCHW, Inc., unless otherwise stated. Individuals may print a single copy of HCHW materials for personal use, which may be shared with friends and family, without written permission. However, additional copies of HCHW materials may not be reprinted or made available for distribution without prior written permission.

Permission Requests. To obtain reprint permission from EWG, complete a request form, available at www.healthychild.org/reprint-permissions-request-form, and email a signed copy to [email protected], fax it to 202-232-2592, or return it by regular mail to the EWG Headquarters address on the bottom of the form. EWG reviews submitted requests on a case-by-case basis. EWG reserves the right to deny permission for any reason. Approved permissions to reprint HCHW materials will be issued in writing. You do not have permission to reprint HCHW materials until you receive written confirmation from EWG.

Credits. Approved reprints of HCHW materials must carry the following credit: Reproduced with the permission of the Environmental Working Group, www.healthychild.org.

Appearance of Endorsements. You may not reprint, or create a link to, HCHW materials in a way that might be misinterpreted as an EWG endorsement of any entity, product or service.

Non-Commercial-Use. EWG is a § 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to using the power of information to protect public health and the environment. With that mission in mind, EWG limits the use of reprinted HCHW materials to educational, non-commercial purposes only.

Abridged Works. HCHW materials shall be printed in their entirety. If HCHW materials must be abridged due to space restrictions, EWG must review the abridged version, which must be submitted with the initial permission request.

Direct Links. Advance permission to post, share or distribute direct links to content appearing on EWG’s web properties, including www.healthychild.org, is not required. However, EWG reserves the right to revoke permission for such links at any time.

Fee-Shifting, Choice of Law. Any claim or dispute relating to, or arising out of, this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflicts of law principles. If any provision or portion of these terms and conditions is held in whole or in part to be unenforceable for any reason, the remainder of that provision and of the entire Permission Agreement will be severable and will remain in effect, to the fullest degree consistent with the intent of this document.
