Advocacy Campaigns + Petitions

Healthy Child Healthy World empowers consumers and parents to take action in support of corporate and legislative reform. Through our petitions and advocacy campaigns, we have given members of our community a platform to demand that companies put our children’s health before profit.

In 2014, Healthy Child Healthy World merged with Environmental Working Group (EWG), a non-profit research and advocacy organization, based in Washington, D.C., to combine forces to protect human lives and the environment. As a program of EWG, Healthy Child Healthy World’s purpose is to empower parents to take action and protect children against harmful chemicals. We empower parents, promote solutions and influence policy to create a cleaner, greener, healthier world. EWG’s Healthy Child Healthy World program translates science and research in the environmental health realm, provides access to digestible information and offers solutions for actionable change.

The merger of EWG and HCHW is in response to the pressing need for renewed, national leadership in children’s environmental health. In the years ahead, EWG’s Healthy Child Healthy World program will engage more parents and caregivers to raise the profile of children’s environmental health.

EWG’s Healthy Child Healthy Word program aims to become the acknowledged go-to authority in the field of children’s environmental health. We strive to be the leading translator and disseminator of the best and latest science on the effects of toxic chemicals and pollutants on children’s health. We will give parents a forceful and commanding advocacy voice to ensure that laws and business practices protect children from exposure to hazardous chemicals and pollutants.
